Government Medical College (GMC), Nalgonda, under the Directorate of Medical Education, Telangana, has announced recruitment for 57 faculty and medical posts on a contract basis. The vacancies include 11 Associate Professor, 26 Assistant Professor, 11 Tutor and nine Civil Assistant Surgeon (CAS) positions across clinical and non-clinical departments.

Applications are being accepted through offline mode from September 5 to September 10, 2026. Candidates must submit their completed forms in person at the Office of the Principal, Government Medical College, Nalgonda, by 2:00 PM on the closing date. An application fee of ₹500 is payable through Demand Draft.

GMC Nalgonda Vacancy 2026

The recruitment covers vacancies across Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine, Paediatrics, Radiology, OBG, Emergency Medicine and other areas.

The number of positions may be subject to administrative changes during the recruitment process.

Qualification and Experience Requirements

Associate Professor applicants require an MD/MS/DNB in the concerned subject along with the prescribed medical registration. Candidates require five years of post-PG experience, including four years as Assistant Professor, as well as two research publications in indexed journals. Completion of the prescribed courses in Medical Education Technology and Biomedical Research is also required.

Assistant Professor candidates require an MD/MS/DNB in the relevant subject and one year of experience as Senior Resident after completing the postgraduate qualification.

For Tutor posts, candidates require MBBS or an equivalent recognized medical qualification. Where the qualification is obtained outside India, the applicable MCI/NMC screening requirements must be satisfied.

Civil Assistant Surgeon applicants require MBBS or an equivalent recognized qualification.

The prescribed MBBS and postgraduate qualifications, where applicable, must be registered with the Telangana State Medical Council.

In the absence of eligible MBBS doctors, candidates possessing an M.Sc. in Medical Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Microbiology or Pharmacology along with a PhD may be considered for applicable Tutor/CAS vacancies according to the recruitment conditions.

Age Limit

Age will be considered as of March 31, 2026.

Retired teaching faculty from the Telangana Government or other government bodies are not eligible under the stated recruitment conditions.

GMC Nalgonda Salary 2026

Appointments carry fixed consolidated remuneration, subject to TDS and other applicable statutory deductions.

The remuneration is governed by the applicable Telangana Government orders for these contractual appointments.

Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of ₹500.

The payment must be made through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Principal, Government Medical College, Nalgonda.
