DIBT Recruitment 2025 – Apply Online for 20+ Apprentice and Other Posts

The Defence Institute of BioDefence Technologies (DIBT), a premier research laboratory under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) located in Mysore, has announced a recruitment drive for 20 Apprentice Trainee positions for the year 2025–26. This initiative is part of the Apprentices Act, 1961, aimed at providing skill development opportunities to Diploma and ITI pass-outs in key engineering trades. Freshers who completed their qualifications in 2023, 2024, or 2025 are eligible to apply. The online application process is open from 16th July 2025 to 15th August 2025.

Diploma Apprentices: Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from a recognized board/university/institute. Only candidates who passed in 2023, 2024, or 2025 (as regular students) are eligible.
ITI Apprentices: Two-year ITI certificate in Machinist, Fitter, or Electrician trades from NCVT/SCVT-recognized institutes. Pass-outs before 2023 are not eligible.
Salary
₹8,000/month for Diploma Apprentices
₹7,000/month for ITI Apprentices
Age Limit
As on 31/07/2025: 18 to 27 years
Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC/PwD as per government norms
Selection Process
Shortlisting based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination (Diploma or ITI)
No written test or interview
Final selection subject to document verification of shortlisted candidates
