Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) has invited online applications for 26 Production & Commissioning Engineer and Production & Commissioning Assistant posts on a contractual basis. The recruitment covers Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics/Instrumentation & Controls disciplines and is specifically open to eligible Ex-Indian Navy and Ex-Indian Coast Guard personnel.

The CSL recruitment application process began on August 17 and will close on September 4, 2026. Engineer positions require the prescribed Diploma in Engineering along with 10 years of relevant marine experience, while Production & Commissioning Assistant posts require Class 10 and 10 years of relevant experience.

Selected Production & Commissioning Engineers will receive consolidated remuneration of ₹69,300 per month, while Assistants will receive ₹66,800 per month. The maximum age is 58 years as on September 4, 2026, and selection will be based on Certificate Verification and preparation of the merit list.

Educational Qualification and Experience

Only eligible Ex-Indian Navy and Ex-Indian Coast Guard personnel with the prescribed qualification and relevant experience can apply.

Production & Commissioning Engineer (Mechanical)

Candidates must possess a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and have 10 years of post-qualification experience in marine equipment.

Production & Commissioning Engineer (Electrical)

Applicants need a Diploma in Electrical Engineering along with 10 years of post-qualification experience in marine electrical systems.

Production & Commissioning Assistant (Mechanical)

Candidates must have passed Class 10/SSC and possess 10 years of post-qualification experience in marine equipment.

Production & Commissioning Assistant (Electrical)

Applicants need Class 10/SSC along with 10 years of post-qualification experience in marine electrical systems.

Production & Commissioning Assistant (Electronics/I&C)

Candidates must have passed Class 10/SSC and possess 10 years of post-qualification experience in marine electronics.

Age Limit

The maximum age for the Production & Commissioning Engineer and Assistant posts is 58 years as on September 4, 2026.

Candidates should ensure they satisfy the prescribed age requirement on the cut-off date before submitting their application.

Salary

CSL has prescribed separate consolidated monthly remuneration for Engineer and Assistant positions.

General, OBC and EWS candidates are required to pay an application fee of ₹300. SC and ST candidates are exempted.

The applicable fee can be paid through the prescribed online payment facility.

Selection Process

Selection for the CSL Production & Commissioning posts will be based on Certificate Verification and Merit List.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to appear for verification of their original certificates at CSL, Kochi. The final rank list prepared through the recruitment process will remain valid for 18 months.
