The Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CMERI), a premier R&D institution under CSIR, has announced the recruitment of 20 Technician posts under Advertisement No. 11/2025. The positions are for the Fitter trade and are to be filled at CMERI’s Durgapur campus in West Bengal. - Pay Scale: ₹19,900 – ₹63,200/- per month (Level 2 as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix)

- Principal Project Associate: ₹49,000 per month
- Senior Project Associate / Project SRF: ₹42,000 per month
- Project JRF: ₹37,000 per month

- Project Associate-I: ₹31,000 (with NET/GATE) or ₹25,000 (without)
- Project Assistant-II: ₹20,000 per month (with 15% increment after 3 years in same project)
