CDSCO Recruitment 2026 for Upper Division Clerk and Other Posts

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, has released the CDSCO East Zone Recruitment 2026 notification for the post of Upper Division Clerk (UDC) in the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO), East Zone, Kolkata. This recruitment is being conducted on a transfer on deputation basis for existing government employees. Only one vacancy has been announced for the ministerial cadre. Salary

The salary is offered as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix. The pay details are given below:

Age Limit

The maximum age limit is 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of application (14 April 2026). Age relaxation and deputation conditions will be applicable as per DoP&T guidelines.

Eligibility Criteria

Service Eligibility:

  • Option A: Officers holding analogous posts on regular basis.
  • Option B: Officers with 8 years regular service in Level-2 (Rs. 19,900–63,200) of the Pay Matrix (7th CPC).

Educational Qualification:

Matriculation (10th Pass) from a recognized board.

Typewriting Speed:

  • English: Minimum 30 words per minute.
  • Hindi: Minimum 25 words per minute.

Application Fee

Application fee is not mentioned in the notification. Generally, deputation-based applications through proper channel do not require a fee. Candidates should verify this in the official notification.

Selection Process

The selection process is based on deputation rules and does not include a written examination.

  • Stage 1: Screening of applications and verification of service records.
  • Stage 2: Verification of ACRs/APARs, vigilance clearance and disciplinary status.
