Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Chennai has invited applications for 59 project staff vacancies under Advertisement No. C-DAC/CHN/02/RCT/2026. The recruitment covers Project Associate, Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer and Project Manager positions, with opportunities ranging from fresher-level engineering roles to experienced project management positions.

The 59 vacancies have been distributed across four project staff designations and reservation categories.

Project Associate, Project Engineer and Senior Project Engineer positions are based primarily in Chennai but are transferable. Project Manager appointments may be in Chennai, Delhi or elsewhere in India depending on project requirements.

Post-Wise Qualification and Experience

Project Associate – 14 Vacancies

The Project Associate position is intended for freshers and does not require prior professional experience.

Candidates should possess B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

Relevant technical skills may include Java, .NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, React, RESTful web services and RDBMS technologies.

Project Engineer – 27 Vacancies

Candidates require B.E./B.Tech with at least 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in CS, IT, ECE or EEE and a minimum of one year of post-qualification experience.

Relevant technology areas include Java/Spring, Hibernate, Microservices, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, AI/Data Science, networking and hardware security.

Senior Project Engineer – 10 Vacancies

Applicants should possess B.E./B.Tech with at least 60% marks in CS, IT, ECE or EEE, or MCA with at least 60% marks.

A minimum of four years of relevant experience is required. Candidates are also expected to possess technical expertise relevant to the project requirements along with experience in handling or coordinating teams.

Project Manager – 8 Vacancies

Candidates may possess B.E./B.Tech, M.E./M.Tech, MCA, M.Sc or Ph.D. in the relevant discipline, subject to the qualification conditions prescribed for the position.

At least nine years of relevant experience is required. Relevant expertise may include cyber security, ICS/SCADA, NIST and ISO 27001 frameworks, project management tools and other specified technology areas.

Age Limit

The upper age limit varies substantially according to the position.

Eligibility will be determined as on the closing date of registration. Applicable relaxation for reserved and other eligible categories will be governed by Government of India rules.

C-DAC Chennai Salary 2026

C-DAC has specified consolidated monthly remuneration for each of the four positions.

For experienced positions, remuneration may vary according to qualifications, relevant experience and applicable C-DAC policy.

Selection Process

Candidates will initially register online, after which C-DAC will examine eligibility against the requirements of the selected position.

Eligible candidates will receive further communication regarding the selection process. Candidates called for in-person selection/interview must report during the specified time with their application and original supporting documents.

Experienced-post applicants are also required to prepare the prescribed one-page write-up and bring six sets when appearing for selection.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the selection process.

Reservation

Reservation for SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PwD candidates will apply according to Government of India rules.

OBC applicants claiming reservation must possess the applicable Non-Creamy Layer certificate, while EWS candidates require the prescribed Income and Asset Certificate. PwD candidates must satisfy the applicable disability criteria, including at least 40% disability where prescribed.

Documents Required

Candidates called for selection should prepare the completed application form with photograph along with their educational and professional records.

Required documents include photo identification, Class 10 and 12 certificates, degree certificates and marksheets, experience certificates from previous employers and relevant reservation/category certificates.

Candidates currently employed in Government organizations or PSUs should also carry the prescribed No Objection Certificate where applicable.
