BIS Recruitment 2025 – Apply for 23 Section Officer Posts on Deputation Basis
The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), the national standards body under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Government of India, has announced the recruitment of Section Officers for various locations across India. A total of 23 vacancies will be filled on a deputation basis, and the recruitment is open only to officials currently serving in Central/State Governments, Union Territories, or Statutory/Autonomous Bodies. This is not an open recruitment for general candidates. The application window is 45 days from the date of publication in the Employment News, i.e., till 6th October 2025. Selected candidates will be appointed to Level-7 Pay Matrix (₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400).

Salary
Level-7 of Pay Matrix: ₹44,900 – ₹1,42,400 per month as per 7th CPC guidelines.
Age Limit
Maximum 56 years as of the last date of application (6th October 2025).

Selection Process
Selection will be through deputation process. No written exam is conducted. Applications will be shortlisted based on eligibility and service record.
