Candidates must have:
Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in the concerned/relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a recognized foreign university.
Additionally, candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR OR
The candidate must hold a Ph.D. degree awarded by a foreign university or institution ranked among top 500 in the world.
