The Arun Jaitley National Institute of Financial Management (AJNIFM), an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, has released a notification for the recruitment of a Junior Translator. The vacancy is open on a deputation/ad-hoc basis and is a great opportunity for eligible Central/State Government employees with a background in Hindi and English translation. The appointment will be in the General Central Service Group ‘B’ category, carrying the pay scale of Level–6 as per the 7th CPC. Eligibility Criteria

Education Qualification

Candidates must meet any one of the following educational conditions:

• Master’s Degree in Hindi with English as an elective/compulsory subject at graduation level, OR
• Master’s Degree in English with Hindi as an elective/compulsory subject at graduation level, OR
• Master’s Degree in any subject with Hindi medium and English as compulsory/elective subject (or vice versa), OR
• Master’s Degree in any subject with both Hindi and English as compulsory/elective subjects.

AND

• A recognized Diploma or Certificate in Translation from Hindi to English & vice versa,
  OR
• Two years’ experience in translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in a Government office or PSU.

Experience

• For those not holding a translation diploma/certificate, minimum 2 years translation experience in a Government department or PSU is required.

Salary

• Pay Level–6 as per 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC).

Age Limit

• Direct Recruitment: Maximum 30 years (relaxable by 5 years for Govt. servants).
• Deputation Basis: Maximum 56 years as on the closing date of the application.
