Eligibility criteria and requirement
Candidates must be Indian citizens with a maximum age of 45 years as of 30 July 2025. Upper age relaxation of 3 years for OBC, 5 years for SC/ST, and 10 years for PwBD candidates applies. Applicants must hold a postgraduate qualification in the relevant specialty and be registered with the Medical Council of India, NMC, or NBE. Those appearing in the July 2025 PG exams are provisionally eligible.
Education
MD, MS, DNB, DM, or M.Ch in the concerned specialty from a recognized medical institution.
For Clinical Haematology: MD in General Medicine or Paediatrics is also acceptable.
Final-year PG students (July 2025 session) may apply but must produce a passing certificate before final selection.
Salary
Selected candidates will be paid at Level 11 of the 7th CPC pay matrix, i.e., ₹67,700 – ₹2,08,700 per month along with Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA) for medically qualified individuals and other admissible allowances as per AIIMS Patna rules.
Age Limit
Maximum age limit is 45 years as on 30 July 2025
- OBC: 3 years relaxation
- SC/ST: 5 years relaxation
- PwBD: 10 years relaxation
Additional age relaxation is applicable for Ex-Servicemen and others as per Government norms
