The Defence Ministry of India has announced Agnipath scheme for the recruitment of Agniveers or youth soldiers. Initially, the training period under Agnipath recruitment is six months with service time of four-years as per agnipath scheme announced earlier. Interested candidates who fulfil all eligibility criteria, as listed below, will be able to apply once application submission begins through online mode.

The central government will soon conduct recruitment rallys at various campuses and regions. Pan India merit based recruitment is assured throughout the process. Indian Navy Recruitment 2026 for Agniveer SSR (Medical), SSR and MR Posts | Last Date: 6th April 2026

Indian Navy has released a recruitment notification inviting online applications from unmarried male and unmarried female candidates for enrolment as Agniveers under the Agnipath Scheme. Through the Indian Navy Recruitment 2026 drive, candidates will be recruited for Agniveer SSR (Medical), Agniveer SSR and Agniveer MR entries for the 01/2027 and 02/2027 batches. Candidates who have completed Matriculation or 10+2 with relevant subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics are eligible to apply depending on the entry. The recruitment will be conducted through the Stage-I Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET) followed by physical tests and medical examination. Selected candidates may be posted anywhere in India or onboard naval ships. Interested candidates can submit their online applications from 14 March 2026 to 06 April 2026.

Agniveer (General Duty):

Salary

Selected candidates under the Agnipath Scheme will receive a monthly salary package as prescribed by the Government of India. During the engagement period, Agniveers will receive approximately ₹30,000 per month in the first year, with annual increments in subsequent years. IAF Agniveer Vayu Sports Recruitment 2025 – Apply Online for Intake 01/2026 [CLOSED]

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has announced recruitment for unmarried Indian male candidates as Agniveervayu (Sports) under the Agnipath Scheme for Intake 01/2026. The Agnipath Recruitment Scheme 2022 has been announced by the Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh today. According to this scheme, the defence ministry has decided to add more than 40,000+ soldiers in all three defence forces including Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force. “Agnipath” is a great initiative by the government where eligible Indian youth would be granted an opportunity to get inducted and serve in the regular cadre of the Armed Forces. The recruitment will largely be on a short-term contractual basis.

The entry for Agnipth scheme will be for a period of 4-years initially which is set to train youth for new technologies and also improve their health levels. This scheme will increase employment opportunities with new skills in different sectors. The Agnipath model envisages the recruitment of personnel below officer rank (PBOR) in the Army, Air Force, and Navy for four years, including six months of training.

Agnipath Recruitment Qualifications

• Candidates age limit may be 18-25 years plus age relaxation. Final age may be different when official notification is released.
• Their educational qualification should be from recognized University.

Agniveer Salary

The monthly salary for Ageniveer is Rs. 30,000/- for the 1st year followed by Rs. 33,000, 36,500 and 40,000 per month in subsequent years. Attractive monthly emoluments and handsome “Seva Nidhi” package.

It is important to note that there is no gratuity or pensionary benefit for the Agniveer post. After four years, “Agniveers” will get tax-free Rs. 11.71 lakh as a “Seva Nidhi Package”.

Insurance cover of Rs. 48 lakhs will be provided to recruits.

Angnipath Selection Process

• The selection process for Agnipath recruitment will be made on the basis of eligibility criteria and training program.
• There will be no entrance exam for Agnipath recruitment scheme.
