Agharkar Research Institute (MACS ARI), Pune has released an official notification (Advt. No. Rect.P/Scientists-02/2025-26) for the recruitment of 04 Scientist posts including Scientist-E, Scientist-C, and Scientist-B. MACS ARI is a premier autonomous research institute under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, known for advanced research in life sciences, bioenergy, paleobiology, and bioinformatics. This recruitment is being conducted through Direct Recruitment based on shortlisting and interview performance. There is no competitive written examination. Eligible candidates possessing Ph.D. or Master’s Degree in relevant disciplines such as Biotechnology, Microbiology, Bioinformatics, Geology, and related fields are invited to apply online. Selected candidates will receive attractive pay as per 7th CPC with salary up to ₹2,15,900/- per month. Salary

• Scientist-E: ₹1,23,100 – ₹2,15,900 per month
• Scientist-C: ₹67,700 – ₹2,08,700 per month
• Scientist-B: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 per month

Salary is as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix along with applicable government allowances.

Age Limit

• Scientist-E: Maximum 45 years
• Scientist-C: Maximum 40 years
• Scientist-B: Maximum 35 years
