Territorial Army Officer Recruitment 2025 Notification is Out: Know How to Join the Rally and Become Officer

The 137 Composite Ecological Task Force Battalion (Territorial Army) under 39 Gorkha Rifles has announced a recruitment rally for 2025, inviting eligible Ex-Servicemen and Ex-Women Employees from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) and State Forest Departments. This recruitment aims to fill 37 posts, including Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) and Soldier categories across various trades. The rally will be conducted from 23rd to 27th September 2025 at Major Dhyan Chand Stadium, New Cantt, Prayagraj (UP). Eligible candidates must directly report on 23rd September at 7:00 AM for physical screening and interview—no prior application is needed.

Eligibility Criteria

Education & Service Background

• Ex-Servicemen (Pension Holders) or Ex-Women Employees (including premature retirees) from MoEF&CC or State Forest Departments.
• Must be Indian domiciles.
• Minimum 20 years of service in their respective departments.

Medical & Character Requirements

• Medical Category: SHAPE-1
• Character: EXEMPLARY or VERY GOOD

Age Limit

• Junior Commissioned Officer: Can serve up to 55 years
• Other Ranks (Soldiers): Can serve up to 50 years
• Must enroll within 5 years from date of retirement
• Age relaxation as per Government norms

Physical Standards

For Male Candidates:

• Height: 160 cm (152 cm for Gorkhas, Garhwalis, Assamese)
• Weight: Minimum 50 kg
• Chest: 82 cm (with minimum 5 cm expansion)

For Female Candidates:

• Height: 150 cm (5 cm relaxation for NE/hill area candidates)
• Weight: Minimum 42 kg
• Chest: Minimum 5 cm expansion

Physical Tests

• 1-mile run
• Pull-ups
• 8’/9’ ditch crossing
• Zig-zag balance beam

Proficiency Tests

• Tradesmen: Trade-specific test
• Ex-Women Employees: Test in afforestation & nursery management

Salary and Benefits

Pay and allowances will be provided as per Territorial Army rules, and are equivalent to Regular Army scales based on the selected rank and post.
