Eligibility Criteria
Education & Service Background
- Ex-Servicemen (Pension Holders) or Ex-Women Employees (including premature retirees) from MoEF&CC or State Forest Departments.
- Must be Indian domiciles.
- Minimum 20 years of service in their respective departments.
Medical & Character Requirements
- Medical Category: SHAPE-1
- Character: EXEMPLARY or VERY GOOD
Age Limit
- Junior Commissioned Officer: Can serve up to 55 years
- Other Ranks (Soldiers): Can serve up to 50 years
- Must enroll within 5 years from date of retirement
- Age relaxation as per Government norms
Physical Standards
For Male Candidates:
- Height: 160 cm (152 cm for Gorkhas, Garhwalis, Assamese)
- Weight: Minimum 50 kg
- Chest: 82 cm (with minimum 5 cm expansion)
For Female Candidates:
- Height: 150 cm (5 cm relaxation for NE/hill area candidates)
- Weight: Minimum 42 kg
- Chest: Minimum 5 cm expansion
Physical Tests
- 1-mile run
- Pull-ups
- 8’/9’ ditch crossing
- Zig-zag balance beam
Proficiency Tests
- Tradesmen: Trade-specific test
- Ex-Women Employees: Test in afforestation & nursery management
Salary and Benefits
Pay and allowances will be provided as per Territorial Army rules, and are equivalent to Regular Army scales based on the selected rank and post.
